Summer Time at The Splash Pad

The splash pad in Bowring park opened this past week and so of course Noah has been there almost everyday to enjoy it. In fact once I finish blogging these images… we are heading back to it lol!

The following images are from his first visit there this year. We weren’t planning on going to the splash pad… we didn’t even know it was open until we drove by. So we stopped in for a little while and Noah went wild in the fountains lol!

The Caplin are “rolling”

Each year the rain, drizzle & fog (also known as Caplin weather) bring the Caplin to the shores of Newfoundland by the millions. The small, silver fish uses the numerous beaches up and down Newfoundlands coast as a spawning ground. The Caplin roll right onto the beach in mass numbers. People gather at the beaches in droves to catch the slippery critters before they are reclaimed by the sea. The Caplin spawn for only a few short days and it only happens once a year, so it’s quite an event to witness.

We spent the May long weekend up in the woods at a friends cabin. There were 6 adults and 5 boys all under the age of 6. It was an awesome weekend, even though it rained Friday and most of the day Saturday. The kids loved it. They watched movies, played in the rain, built a bonfire and went quadding.

Can’t wait to do it again!

My wife & I bought our son a new Power Wheels Arctic Cat this week. Today is the first day that he got to test it out. I thinks he’s going to love it!
